Gionee Max’s new budget smartphone, which comes after a gap of almost a year following the re-launch of the Gionee F9 Plus in September last year. The phone was released today by e-retailer Flipkart, which also shared the release date and selected other details about the phone. Flipkart Rs. 6,000 price tag for the phone; The final price, however, remains a mystery. Gionee, as mentioned, has not been in the Indian smartphone market for several months now.
Flipkart teased the Gionee Max smartphone on the teaser page of its website, which features the exterior of the phone, as well as Rs. 6,000 price tag and August 25 release date. The phone will launch via Flipkart without any digital event. The picture of the phone shows relatively thick bezels around the scene, especially the chin. The display comes with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera.
In the budget smartphone survey, the ad page says that most people voted for the 4,500mAh battery, but Gionee may still have a larger battery in the upcoming phone. The company plans to release more details about the “Max Battery” tomorrow, August 20th.
It has been almost a year since Gionee launched a smartphone in India. It unveiled the Gionee F9 Plus in September 2019 and has been launching smart wearable products in the country. The Gionee Watch 5 (GSW5), Gionee Watch 4 (GSW4), and Gionee Senorita (GSW3) were launched in India in June.
A few weeks ago, a Gionee phone with a 10,000 mAh battery was reportedly found on the website of the Chinese regulatory body Dena. Pictures of the website show a rugged phone with a single camera and a fingerprint scanner on the back. It is listed with a 5.72-inch screen that weighs 305 grams. The TENAA list was first discovered by GSMArena, and it should be noted that Gionee does not share any information on this phone.
