IQoo 5 series will officially launch in China on August 17, according to a post released by the Vivo sub-brand on Weibo. iQoo has begun to tease that its 5 series will deliver “primary performance” and represent 120W faster-charging support. It is not clear how many models will be released as part of the lineup, so we’ll have to wait and see. The launch is set to take place on August 17 in China at 2:30 pm local time (12 noon IST). We have not heard anything from IQoo India yet, so it is not yet clear when these phones will launch in India.
iQoo has two posts on Weibo from its official handle (QiQoo mobile phone). The most recent post with a release date and time contains an image. If you stare at the picture, there is a reference to “120W” and “15 minutes”. All this ensures that the iQoo 5 Series supports 120W fast charging, which can charge its battery in 15 minutes. This is similar to the tip we reported yesterday. 120W Fast Charging is the latest charging technology released by iQoo in July.
iQoo has yet to tease or confirm any other specifications of the phone, except for its new “performance primary”. Considering that IQoo 3 (Review) has Snapdragon 865 SoC, it only makes sense for iQoo to go with the same or Snapdragon 865+ SoC. Its India release is yet to be decided, considering the company’s other models iQoo U1 and iQoo Z1x, which have yet to launch here.
