Redmi 9A to Launch in India Soon, RAM, Storage and Price Revealed

Yes, this is Xiaomi’s increasingly renamed project, but it makes sense given the previously redesigned Redmi 9 models. There is no word yet on the release date and pricing of the device, but according to the Redmi 9i, the Redmi 9A may come with a slightly higher price than the RM 359 (INR 6,360).

The Redmi 9A comes with a 6.53 HD + display, 5,000 mAh battery, and a single 13MP rear camera. It is powered by Helio G25 chipset with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Xiaomi is all set to launch another new budget smartphone in India soon, called the Redmi 9i, which Brisbaba learned from tipster Ishan Agarwal. According to our source, the device will be offered in 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB configurations. Additionally, the Redmi 9i is available in Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black color options.

Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9 in India as the Redmi 9 Prime. Today, it launched the Redmi 9C in the country as the renamed Redmi 9. With this in mind, the upcoming Redmi 9 may be a redesigned Redmi 9A, launched with the Redmi 9C in Malaysia in June.

Redmi 9A Specifications and Features

If the Redmi 9i is actually the renamed Redmi 9A, expect the specifications to be the same. The Redmi 9A comes with a 6.53-inch display with a water drop-top. The screen offers a 20: 9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, which is supported by 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Notably, the Redmi 9A is the world’s first smartphone powered by the Helio G25 chipset. This smartphone launches MIUI 11 and is supported by a 5,000mAh battery.

The Redmi 9A features a vertical camera module with a 13-megapixel shooter with an LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the top of the water drop on the front.

In Malaysia, the Redmi 9A is priced at RM 359 (6,300), but the price may be slightly higher in India. Color options in Malaysia include Midnight Gray, Twilight Blue, and Peacock Green, which are similar to the ones Agarwal confirmed for Redmi 9 in India.
