Airtel. Airtel’s two recently launched prepaid recharge plans were previously offered in only a few telecom circles across the country and are now available in Pan-India. The new plans, first announced in May, are combo recharge vouchers worth Rs 50,000. 129 and Rs. 199.
Both are valid for 24 days and offer 4G data with voice calling and SMS. However, while the former comes with 1GB of high-speed data for a period of 24 days, the latter offers 1GB of high-speed data per day. Both offer unlimited local, national, and roaming voice calls, but the latter offers 100 SMS per day, while the former offers a total of 300 SMS. Additional benefits include free Helotunes for the full validity period, Wing Music, and Airtel Extreme App subscription.
The above projects are initially planned for Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Goa, and U.P. Available only in western and Uttarakhand districts, but Airtel has expanded their availability to more regions over the past few weeks. According to Telecom talks, both the schemes are now available in all 23 circles run by Airtel, with new additions to Andhra and Telangana, Chennai, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu.
Airtel has delayed a number of its prepaid plans as part of its plans to better compete with the likes of Reliance Jio. Some of the company’s strategies seem to be working as it has reclaimed some of the land lost in recent times, and the company recently surpassed Vodafone Idea to become the second-largest wireless carrier in the country after Jio.
