Amazon Fresh Grocery store. Amazon announced Thursday that it will open a supermarket in La-Angels with shopping carts that will allow customers to refresh and avoid taxes as the e-commerce company builds its offline presence.
The market around Woodland Hills is known as Amazon’s new grocery store. Of the seven that Amazon has confirmed to Southern California and Greater Chicago, this is the first place to allow customers to call only. Amazon has announced that the Woodland Hills site will open to the wider public in the coming weeks.

The world’s largest online retailer has been experimenting with p stores fire stores in recent years to capture higher consumer spending, especially on groceries. It has more than 20 cashier-less stores, including Crop-and-Go food for office workers, and more than 500 stores in the Whole Foods Market chain acquired in 2017.

Amazon recorded its biggest quarterly profit last month due to online sales during coronavirus infections, but physical store revenue fell 13 percent.
